We are thrilled to welcome Professor Rollie Thompson back to Winnipeg to share his vast knowledge with the Manitoba’s legal profession.  Professor Thompson will speak to the evidentiary issues in the family law context, including in the case of summary judgements. 

In this session, you will cover the ten or eleven evidence "rules" that every family law lawyer needs to know, including opinion evidence, hearsay,  business records, impeaching and supporting credibility, illegally-obtained recordings and emails, privilege for settlement negotiations, and judicial notice. There will also be several short problems to illustrate and help hone your evidence skills in this interactive program.
