Limited Liability Partnerships

Since February 25, 2003, Manitoba lawyers have been allowed to register limited liability partnerships to carry out their practice. LLPs protect the personal assets of an "innocent" partner from professional liability claims arising from the negligence or misconduct of another partner or employee in whose work the innocent partner was not involved. More information about Manitoba and Extra-Provincial LLPs can be found in The Partnership Act and The Business Names Registration Act
